İSTANBUL TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

ITU, the cradle of engineering and architectural education in Turkey, which is one of the world's oldest technical university. There are 39 undergraduate programs in 13 faculties and master and doctoral programs in 6 institutes; many of them are the first or only in their field. Our university, which has taken a pioneering role in science and technology and has achieved many firsts and principles in its 2.5-century history, has been the address of dozens of national and international successes in arts and sports. Our priority is always to develop the "research university" quality.

ITU is the most privileged university of our country in R&D studies with the facilities provided by 360 laboratories and 13 research centers. Hundreds of research projects are carried out in different fields such as informatics, automotive and energy, both in faculties and institutes and ARI Teknokent. The number of R&D projects continuing only within ARI Teknokent is around 200. Supporting local entrepreneurship has also been among the issues that have been especially focused on in recent years; Thanks to the ITU Çekirdek, ITU GATE, and ITU NOVA TTO structures, it is ensured that both students, academics and researchers can transform their ideas into products; It opens the way for them to reach national-international markets. Having internalized the concepts of strategic management, continuous improvement and quality, ITU has become the university with the highest ABET Accreditation in the world, thanks to the steps taken in this direction in its education programs.

ITU Quality Coordination Office was established as a new step of continuous improvement-development approach. The Quality Management System created will pave the way for more successful results in both education and R&D studies. When the management approaches of the world's leading universities are examined, the importance of quality management with a holistic perspective in line with corporate realities and goals is obvious. It is believed that this point of view will provide a significant improvement in the institutionalism of our university, which is advancing to its 250th year.
