Turkish Defense Industry Shows Power at SAHA EXPO

Novelties from the Turkish defense industry were presented at the SAHA EXPO in Istanbul.

Haluk Bayraktar, Chairman of the Board of SAHA Istanbul and General Director of Baykar, said that the SAHA EXPO exhibition lasted for four days at the exhibition center of the largest industrial cluster in Turkey – SAHA Istanbul.

Bayraktar said 480 defense companies of the country presented their products at SAHA Istanbul. “Within the framework of the exhibition, thousands of meetings were held with the participation of representatives of large companies and medium-sized businesses, agreements were reached. A solid platform for cooperation has been formed, ”he said.

Bayraktar noted that projects for the creation of unmanned aerial vehicles, airplanes, helicopters and military ships have attracted special attention in Turkey in recent years. In addition, there is great potential for the development of technologies and subsystems, the production of components for the needs of the military-industrial complex.

“The level of import substitution in the defense sector of Turkey will only grow. Turkey intends to strengthen its position in the world arms market. Today, an unmanned military aircraft is being developed in our country. We will be able to fulfill the tasks only by forming a strong base. At this exhibition, we have witnessed that there is a similar basis in Turkey. By strengthening the existing potential, our country will undoubtedly be able to achieve the stated goals, ”said Baykar CEO.
