About Us
Since the 1990s, Turkey has experienced rapid development in the machinery sector, both in production and export. The Turkish machinery industry, whose origins date back to the 1950s, has a much more efficient value-added performance today compared to other manufacturing sectors. The first large-scale industrial investment in the Turkish machinery sector was made entirely by the state in 1950, but it gained its current momentum through the efforts of private companies established in the 1960s. In many areas of the Turkish machinery industry, private companies have largely replaced public economic enterprises. The increase in machinery sector manufacturing, both in production and export, was approximately 15% annually between 1995 and 2000. Having a structure similar to developed countries, the Turkish machinery sector, with its qualified workforce and superior engineering capacity, increases the chances of machinery manufacturers competing in global markets. It is a fact that the liberalization efforts in the Turkish economy have had a significant impact on the competitiveness of the Turkish machinery industry compared to Western countries with roots in the Industrial Revolution and global brands. The European Union (EU) is a large market for the machinery manufacturing sector, producing capital goods, due to the fact that major players in the machinery sector, such as Germany, Italy, France, and the United Kingdom, are EU members, and the EU hosts industrially developed countries. Established in 1999 with the aim of designing and manufacturing textile dyeing and washing machines needed by these sectors, Yılmak Makine has achieved great success with its dynamic structure. Despite its young age, Yılmak Makine successfully carries out its production thanks to the 40 years of experience of its group companies.
