URGE PROJECTS
– Two URGE Projects initiated in 2017 within SAHA Istanbul are continuing their activities.
SAHA Istanbul Defense, Aviation and Space Cluster URGE Project 1 (13 companies)
SAHA Istanbul Defense, Aviation and Space Cluster URGE Project 2 (15 companies)
– In the new period, two URGE Projects have been implemented within the Material and Material Shaping Committee, and a total of 44 companies are involved in the project.
Metal Forming Sector URGE Project (28 companies)
Non-Metal Sector URGE Project (16 companies)
– Two URGE Projects, in which a total of 62 companies participated, were implemented within the scope of the Electricity and Electronics Committee.
Energy and Power Systems URGE Project (37 companies)
RF Communication URGE Project (25 companies)
– A HİSER Project has been implemented as a Software, Automation and Digital Transformation committee and the works are continuing.
Digital Transformation HİSER Project (31 companies)
– Within the scope of the Machinery and Machinery Equipment committee, URGE projects preparatory work continues.
The demand building phase of the project, to which a total of 22 companies have applied, is continuing.
NATIONAL ERP DEVELOPMENT STUDIES
Within the framework of the project initiated by SAHA Istanbul in the first quarter of 2021, it is aimed primarily to meet the needs of defense industry stakeholders and then to nationalize the corporate resource planning programs needed by our country’s industry.
By holding the first of the online meetings, a consensus was reached on the urgency of the issue and the creation of an open source ecosystem.
Republic of Turkey Ministry of Industry and Technology, TUBITAK TÜSSİDE and sahaistanbul pioneered the draft road map with the contribution of the leading companies in our sector have been initiated to determine the work.
The road map will be determined and the business plan will be put into effect and the project is aimed to be continued with public support.
TASECS
TASECS, a 5-partner Consortium company, was established in order to nationalize air conditioning subsystems within the framework of nationalization studies under the leadership of SAHA Istanbul.
TASECS, established in partnership with TAI (TAI), Gökser Makine, Anova, Friterm and Gürmetal, aims to design, manufacture and market the needed air conditioning systems with local and national facilities. Actively continuing its studies , the company continues its path with confident steps towards having a say in the sector by rapidly developing its infrastructure and capabilities.

MİHENK Projects
The National Aviation Industry Committee (MİHENK), which was established in order to facilitate the fulfillment of the certification requirements of domestic companies who want to work in the aviation sector, aims to support the institutional and managerial certification processes. So costs will be reduced and companies may get the certifications easier.





OPEN SOURCE CODE SOFTWARE PROJECT
It is the project of developing the national design, analysis, ERP and PLM software over open source codes using the production capability of SAHA Istanbul under the coordination of Tübitak Tüsside.
CYBER SECURITY SOFTWARE PLATFORM PROJECT
A project which are established with the coordination of SSB and in cooperation with Tübitak Bilgem, SAHA İstanbul and Martek, aims to develop National Cyber Security software. In Martek, Tübitak Bilgem’s test infrastructure will be created, the software knowledge bank will be created and the missing and developing software particles will be identified and assigned to universities and firms so they can produce softwares. In the end goal is to create a cyber security ecosystem.
CYBER SECURITY OF THE INDUSTRY
Within the scope of 2020 studies, the software committee, artificial intelligence project group and cyber security project group, as SAHAİstanbul, are working to ensure the security of production tools of companies manufacturing in our country.
The Ankara Chamber of Industry ASOSEM model factory was visited within the framework of the planned road map, and it is aimed to start prototype studies by including the model factories in Bursa and Istanbul.
It is aimed to share the outputs of the working groups from our project groups on cyber security with the Committee Members and to act jointly. At the beginning of 2021, it is planned to prepare projects.
CYBER SECURITY CENTER
As SAHAIstanbul, it is planned to be a stakeholder in the ISTKA-guided project application for the establishment of the Cyber Security Center of Boğaziçi University, and studies are continuing.
It is aimed that sahaistanbul member companies will need services, training and consulting on cyber security issues by expert staff and that the two large institutions will act together thanks to the project, which will allow companies to reduce the costs of possible cyber security needs.
It is aimed to activate the cyber security center within two years, with the project cost estimated as 15 million TL and above.

Hürkuş Air conditioning
This product group formed by SAHA has been organized in order to find solutions for the air conditioning system of Hürkuş aircraft which is being built by TUSAŞ. The aim is to carry out the air conditioning system of the aircraft together with our companies in a national way. In the project; our memebers which are Anova, CES Composite, Friterm, Gökser Machinery, Gür Metal take part.

Laser Weapon Systems
A consortium, which Tübitak Bilgem, Aselsan, Roketsan, Ermaksan, SAVER and Gebze Technical University involve, try to develop a laser air defense system for floating platforms. Tübitak SAYEM application was made with this consortium. The project is being evaluated by Tübitak. If approval is obtained, the product will be developed by using the production capabilities of consortium companies under the coordination of SAHA Istanbul.

Layered Metal Printer Powders
The consortium created by the cooperation of FSMV University ALUTEAM, Ermaksan, May Design, Toyotetsu and SAHA Istanbul will produce titanium and aluminum 3D printer powders. In the advanced stages, it is aimed to ensure the integration of all powder types.

A research center are established as an ISTKA project where infrastructure to conduct research on polymers and similar chemicals is provided by SAHA Istanbul and AREL University.

Mürgemer Projects
Marmara University product development center project was launched with the support of ISTKA by Marmara University and Teknopark Istanbul. In this center, by providing design and analysis software and by creating an IT infrastructure, SMEs’ license cost are eliminated and an environment are created for product developments by using this center. The center which serves to the SAHA members, will be used for the development of national design and analysis software.


EYDEP Projects
Today, the management of the supply chain in the defense industry has become a critical issue, so abilities ,which are needed by the sector, has become important for companies to take part in this chain. The Industrial Competence Evaluation and Support Program (EYDEP) provides support to firms to minimize the weaknesses in order to evaluate the competencies required in the defense industry and to prevent firms from being a weak link in the supply chain if necessary. Within the framework of the agreement made between SSB and SAHA Istanbul, in the Marmara Region in Istanbul, Kocaeli, Yalova, İzmit, Sakarya and Düzce provinces, the coordination of EYDEP is carried out together with the aim of categorizing the competencies of the firms and creating an infrastructure when necessary.
